The foundation of STEPS Academy is a person-centered and humanistic approach to relating with students, which serves to establish trusting relationships and reinforce the understanding that every student is unique.
STEPS Academy offers comprehensive, intensive and individualized educational programs serving children and young adults from age 3 through 22. Academic instruction is combined with behavioral support and emphasizes the following:

STEPS Academy is recognized by the Ohio Department of Education as an approved non-public charter school and accepts the Ohio Autism Scholarship and the Jon Peterson Scholarship.

What We Do
Our focus is to provide enriching opportunities and academic programming that meet the unique educational needs of our students. Our multidisciplinary team designs each student’s program to ensure that they are successfully developing and learning in targeted skill areas. Communication is the primary focus at STEPS Academy and it’s incorporated into all activities. In addition, we work diligently to prepare our students for adulthood through transition planning and vocational training opportunities.
